Stroboscope is an instrument based on the principle of Stroboscopy. It states that if extremely short duration pulses of bright light are focused on any rotating, moving, oscillating or vibrating object, it appears stationary when the rate of flashing light matches that of the object. This principle is used to determine RPM or rotating object or for freeze motion studies. RPM measurement of any rotating machinery, such as textile spindles, electric motors and freeze motion studies such as diesel engine nozzle spray, on-line print checks, offset printing, slitting machine, currency print checks, cavitation investigation, vibration studies, slow motion observations such as diamond cutting or polishing can be done using the stroboscope.

This model is a portable, handy instrument designed for quick checks in printing process on slitting, rotogravure or web offset machines. The flashing rate is controlled manually by multi-turn potentiometer.

These models are useful on rotogravure or web offset machines for continuous observation of printing process.Choice of manual or automatic flashing is available in all models. Automatic flashing is achieved by using a mark sensor, an external pulse or a proximity sensor. The three models are available in different widths depending on the observed web. All models are fitted with a timer unit to switch off the stroboscope automatically to conserve the life of the flash tube.

The TT-4 series models are designed specifically for the printing industry. The instrument comes in a single package with the flash tubes on one side and control panel on the other side. These instruments can be used with external triggers such as proximity sensors or external pulse from an existing system.

The TT-5 Low Series models are designed with two settable potentiometers for better accuracy. The models are available with mains or Battery supply. Battery comes separate from the stroboscope unit. The battery supply version however can be operated while the battery is being charged.
